A lot of parents looking for childcare do not realise that they are entitled to childcare vouchers. If you have an OFSTED registered childcarer, you can claim back a percentage of her salary. The amount you can claim back depends on the amount you and your husband or partner earn.
You can claim up to 80% of your childcare costs if you are on a low income. For more information go to www.ofsted.gov.uk website and find out if you qualify for this help towards your childcare costs.
You can ask for an OFSTED registered childcarer when recruiting; however this may limit your audience. Most childcarers are prepared to be OFSTED registered so this is worth considering if you are finding it difficult find an OFSTED registered childcarer in the first instance.
